Who are Everyman? - About Everyman

1980s

Everyman Open Air Festival

1983-1995. Dyffryn Gardens

'Professional paid directors to ensure high standards and to stretch the actors who would be chosen on merit from all over South Wales in open auditions...'
Greg Owens

'We all expect something special of Shakespeare played in a beautiful garden on a summer evening, and for methese Everyman performances at Dyffryn live up to it... Every time I go the whole thing is magical...'
Ted Hughes

1988

'A leap in the dark as Everyman launches a second Dyffryn show...aimed at a family audience... the experiment works!'
Greg Owens.

1990s to present

'In 1995 we added a third show (the musical) to our programme, and then in 1996 we staged our first festival at St Fagans. In 2009, Everyman Theatre took over the running of the musical from Moonlight Theatre. We already have exciting plans in the pipeline for Festival 2012 when we will be celebrating 30 years of great theatre in the great outdoors... so watch this space!'
Luke Todd
